Who are meridol® products intended for? What is the difference compared to other product lines?
The meridol® products were developed specifically for people who have gum problems – gingivitis, gum bleeding, periodontitis – or who want an effective way to prevent them. They contain the highly effective combination of the active ingredients amine fluoride and stannous fluoride, and their positive effect on the gums has been convincingly demonstrated in numerous clinical studies.
Do I need to use all the products together to notice an effect?
No – the effectiveness has been demonstrated successfully for each individual product. However, because the products complement each other, their effectiveness in combined use is even more noticeable. This is particularly recommended for people who have an existing gum problem.
Can I use meridol® products if I am pregnant?
Yes – meridol® is specifically recommended during pregnancy. Hormonal changes put pregnant women at a higher risk of gum disease. meridol® acts against this and helps keep the gums healthy during and after pregnancy.
Can I use meridol® toothpaste together with mouthwashes that contain chlorhexidine?
Yes meridol® may be used in combination with chlorhexidine mouthwashes. In fact a clorhexidine – containing mouthwash is available among the meridol® products.
What are the risk factors for gum problems?

Yes – the dual fluoride system of amine fluoride and stannous fluoride provides effective protection against caries.
How quickly will the products help?

The meridol® studies are carried out by independent universities according to the highest scientific standards, and are published in renowned specialist journals.
